School Days

We were super excited to officially start our school year this week!

It's hard to believe that I am starting 4-K now! Hooray! Mommy is my teacher this year, which means I get to wear fun shoes to school! :)

Riley Cates has fun learning along with us!

I thought I would share a few highlights from our week. We started off the week with an "X Marks the Spot" treasure hunt since we were learning about the letter x.

I found lots of supplies that we will be using during school this year.

Riley Cates had her own treasure hunt for school supplies. Can you find the x's?

We pulled out all of our new supplies and got really excited about what we might get to use them for!

One of the first things we made with some of our supplies was our very own binoculars since we will have lots of exploring to do together.

And, you know, every explorer needs a good set of binoculars.

We practiced writing our names.

(Some better than others!)

We turned our X into a xylophone! We so badly wanted them to actually play music!

Riley Cates had fun with pom-poms,

While I worked really hard to match letters.

Here are a few more of our projects from the week.

We had a great first week of school, and I can't wait to see what we do next week!

Looks like a really fun first week of school. Will be praying for you, Gina, as you teach Jackson, along with his siblings :-).
