Up, Up, Up!

If there is something to climb on, I am going to do it! I mean, I needed to see what was out that window!

And this was mere seconds before I stood all the way up... and then promptly fell to the ground! You think I would learn that's not a good idea. But you'd be wrong. You know what they say. If you fall off a horse...

Brother's bed is no obstacle for me!

You just kind of have to fling yourself over!

What's that? Why am I getting up here?

Because the table is not salty enough, of course!

And these are just a few of the places I climbed today! I can't wait for tomorrow!

Memorial Day, Part 2

Not only did we go sailing yesterday, but we also got to have a fun picnic with lots of our friends! Well before the food was ready, Hannah and I got everything ready. And by "got everything ready," I mean we made a mess out of what the Moms had already done! Oops!

But then we found the drink boxes, so that moved us away from the stuff we shouldn't touch!

The grown-ups really like to stand around and talk. How boring.

Aww... but look at the cute babies! So sweet!

Since sitting around and chatting is SO boring, the kids decided to play Bocce.

We had to wait for our turns patiently!

Ooh! Those sure are heavy!

Riley Cates decided the colored ones were too heavy, so she stole the white one. Unfortunately, without the white ball, there is no Bocce.

Riley Cates is too funny! I can't believe she ran away with it!

Apparently the fire truck was more fun anyway.

Hannah and I got on the swings and went really high!

And the adults stood around and talked some more...

Some of them got out a new game, which was pretty fun to watch. And by "watch," I mean get in their way while they tried to throw the balls.

Break time! Check out those rosy cheeks. It was hot outside!

Daddy and Mr. David (Hannah's daddy) had fun cooking together. They did a great job, by the way!

More playing while we wait! Peek-a-boo!

Time to swing!

Finally! Time to eat! Check out the fruit pizza Mommy made. I learned that all kinds of pizza are delicious!

Riley Cates and Caroline had some good bonding time at supper. They are only a few weeks apart, and they are so cute together!

Everything at supper was so yummy!

We couldn't sit still long, of course. As soon as we ate everything, we had to show off our frisbee skills.

Then Daddy put me and Riley Cates in the same swing! How silly!

I don't know that I have ever heard Riley Cates laugh so much and so hard!

In case you couldn't tell, we had an awesome day yesterday!

Memorial Day, Part 1

I was so excited when I woke up this morning and Mommy and Daddy told me that today was the day... the day that we got to go on the boat with BeBe and Mr. Jerry! We got to the club and headed out towards all of the boats.

Mr. Jerry and BeBe helped me get on the boat safely.

I got to wear this cool life jacket. It fit just right!

Mommy and I posed for a picture before we got underway!

I was nervous for a minute when we got out in the water, but then I got to steer the boat, and everything was ok! I was a great driver!

It got pretty sunny so I wore one of BeBe's hats for a few minutes. But just a few minutes. I'm not good at keeping those on my head for too long.

Riley Cates enjoyed hanging out in the cabin below.

Besides laying out and relaxing on the chair, she enjoyed looking out one window...

And then the other window! I guess she didn't realize that you could see a lot more from upstairs!

She really enjoyed having a snack break and snuggling with Mommy.

Who doesn't love a good snack break? Those oranges were delicious!

Is it safe to come up?

I was a great helper when it was time to come about (that means turn around when you're on a boat).

Our family sure did have a good time on the boat with Mr. Jerry and BeBe!

Thanks for taking us out today! It was a wonderful day!

The First "Lasts"

As many of you know, we are getting ready for some big transitions over the next few months, and today marked one of our "lasts" in Jackson. This morning was our last worship service at First Pres. We still have a few Wednesday nights left, and I get to go to VBS next week, but we won't be here on another Sunday. While we are excited about what the next chapter holds, we are also sad to be leaving our church family! We had to take a few pictures outside of the church this morning, but you know how it goes with getting a good picture of the two of us...

Even if we can't both look at the camera at the same time, we sure do love this church!

Just Grillin'

What could be the cause of so many excited faces?

Grilling something yummy for supper, of course!

Not a bad way to spend a Saturday evening! (Oh, and not pictured are the grilled asparagus that were amazing!) Thanks Daddy!
