Recovered Backpack and Tender Moments

Exactly four months ago, our family was making our way through the Frankfurt, Germany airport. It was the middle of the night to us, and we had not gotten much sleep on the long flight across the ocean. We had so many bags, and we were on a very tight schedule. With all of that, we managed to leave my backpack at one of the security checkpoints. Because we had so much stuff, it took us a while to even notice! But when we did figure it out, I was a sad boy.

BUT, I got my backpack back! It came in the mail yesterday! I was waiting and watching out the window all morning long to see that truck drive up!

What all is in this box?! (Don't worry, Mommy was the one who used the big scissors. Safety first!)

Would you have ever guessed that it was a Lightning McQueen backpack?

I had so many of my favorite cars, games, and books in there. I am so pleased to have them back!

And, in case you missed these pictures on facebook, Riley Cates and I had some tender moments this morning that Mommy says are too cute not to share!

This first one is just us making crazy faces, but you can see that I am missing a tooth if you look closely!

I mean, does it get sweeter than this? Mommy didn't even tell me to do that! Really!

We just love each other so much!
