Hannah Comes to the Country

Shortly after we moved to South Carolina this summer, Hannah got to come spend the day with us! We loved having her here! And in honor of her birthday this week (HAPPY BIRTHDAY, HANNAH!!!), I'm going to show you some cute pictures of us!

We started the morning off with a ride on Lightning McQueen!

Then I pulled her around in Sissy's wagon (I think Riley Cates was a little jealous...),

Which Hannah loved! Isn't that a huge smile?!

I gave Hannah a tour around the place on the golf cart.

Our favorite part was picking (and tasting!) the blueberries!

But little did we know, the best was yet to come! Blueberry pie!

Delicious!

Ok, Hannah, we're ready for you to come back and visit! We miss you!

Since I Last Wrote...

I turned THREE!!! Yes, it was a while ago now, but I know you are dying to see pictures. Right? It was a pretty fun birthday, I must say, though it was certainly not your typical birthday party!

Ok, there were a few normal birthday party activities... We ate yummy pizza, picnic style!

And there was a Thomas birthday cake that had MY NAME ON IT!

I got to blow out candles,

Right after everyone sang to me!

This is the face of a full and tired boy--the sign of a good party!

I took pictures with a few of my buddies...

And our Mommies even joined in for a few!

So what was so crazy about my party? Well, the activity of the evening was to load all of our stuff into this big truck! We were so thankful for lots of help! And for a 3 year old boy, what more could you ask for? Friends? Check. Pizza? Check. Cake and ice cream? Check. A really big truck? Check! All in all, it was a good time!

Oh, and I personally enjoyed playing in the dirt we all drug in during the moving process with my new trucks and tractors! (Mommy would be so embarrassed that I showed you this picture!)

And then I even got to "drive" the big truck! Hooray!

While it was a super fun birthday party, it was also sad because we had to say goodbye to some of our favorite people! We sure do miss Mississippi!

I know I have said it before, but I promise I will try to be better about writing on here! Being 3 and 1 and a half (for Riley Cates, of course) brings lots of new adventures!

Party Time!

After Bible School yesterday, our buddies Asher, Caleb, and Luke came over to eat lunch and play!

Riley Cates loved talking to Luke and telling him lots of important things. I think she was just glad that she wasn't the youngest one there for once!

Caleb and I had fun hanging out in the toy box!

Caleb and I have a special bond because he is just 9 days older than I am. Our Mommies had fun being pregnant at the same time, and Caleb even came to visit me at the hospital when I was born... right after he had gotten out of there! So we got to go celebrate his birthday (and his brother Luke's first birthday!)  at their house today! It was awesome to play out in the water! This hose was cool. It squirted everywhere!

They had a giant water slide. It made me a little nervous. Of course Riley Cates was doing everything she could to get on there. She is fearless! Maybe she'll be big enough next time!

She found a fun car to play in instead.

I was even a sweet big brother and pushed her around... until I almost pushed her into the big slide! Oops! In my defense, those cars are very hard to steer.

Riley Cates found a slide more her size!

And she liked squirting people with the hose!

And, of course, she wanted to take a drink of the water.

Oh, and actually get in the water table. You know how she likes to climb!

Speaking of the water table, I liked playing in it too. When it needed a little more water, I came to the rescue with the hose. Mommy said it would take a long time to fill it up that way!

So while I waited, I found the coolest John Deere tractor to ride! It was an awesome day at an awesome party!

Before and After

Before the last day of Bible School...

After the last day of Bible School...

Yes, Mommy and I went on a walk this afternoon, and I fell fast asleep! Apparently we saw Hannah while we were out (Riley Cates had stayed home with Daddy), and she played by me for quite a while before I woke up! What can I say? I was exhausted from a wonderful week of VBS!

Good Helper

So what do I get to do all day while Jackson is off at Bible School doing fun things like making this "breastplate of righteousness"?

I'm so glad you asked! Today I was a great helper. While Mommy packed boxes, I tested them out to make sure there was enough room for all our stuff.

And then I tried a few things which may be the beginning of a modeling career...

And then I played with Jackson's cars.

Uh-oh! I take that back! I did no such thing! I would never mess with his toys!
(Sometimes I say things that I don't mean to say, and then I don't know what to do!)

All in all, I would say it was a good morning, but I sure was glad to see him when he got home!

Yay for Today!

Today was a great day! Riley Cates and I started off the day with some snuggle time (all on our own--Mommy just grabbed the camera when she saw the cute moment!).

And then...

BIBLE SCHOOL!

Hooray! Bible School was so fun! I was in a big classroom this year. There weren't as many toys as there are in the nursery, but we were so busy that I didn't even notice! Our theme is Soldiers of Christ, so I stopped to pose with the knight guarding the church! He is pretty cool!

And then, just when I thought the day couldn't get any better, we went to Chick-fil-A! Guess who loves ice cream and doesn't want anybody to help her eat it?!

Sissy is so funny!

Oh, and I finally learned that it is better to eat the ice cream before eating the cone. I never could figure out why I was always making such a mess! Ha!

And that was it for the day, right? Nope! Mommy and Daddy took us to play in the water fountains! We got soaking wet and had a great time doing it!

Perhaps Mommy and Daddy were trying to get us super tired so we would sleep well tonight? Hmmm... Either way, it was an awesome day!

Up, Up, Up!

If there is something to climb on, I am going to do it! I mean, I needed to see what was out that window!

And this was mere seconds before I stood all the way up... and then promptly fell to the ground! You think I would learn that's not a good idea. But you'd be wrong. You know what they say. If you fall off a horse...

Brother's bed is no obstacle for me!

You just kind of have to fling yourself over!

What's that? Why am I getting up here?

Because the table is not salty enough, of course!

And these are just a few of the places I climbed today! I can't wait for tomorrow!
